BiographyElizabeth Woods is a passionate Catholic musician currently active in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY. Elizabeth graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville, NY in 2011 and recently graduated cum laude from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY with a B.S.Ed. in Music Education. She was heavily involved in Catholic Campus Ministry and Newman Club on campus at Hofstra and is currently involved in young adult ministry at St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa. Elizabeth is currently teaching 5th and 6th Grade Religion, 5th-8th Grade General Music, and a special 4th Grade Liturgical Music class at Holy Family School in Hicksville. She also serves as the music minister for select Sunday Masses at Holy Family Parish, leading the Children's Choir and the Teen Choir. Additionally, she leads music at the Padre Pio Holy Hour on the first Friday of each month at Holy Name of Jesus in Woodbury. She also regularly substitutes as Music Minister throughout the Diocese. When not leading on piano, Elizabeth also plays several other instruments throughout the Diocese at Catholic events with other music ministry teams. Elizabeth is also an aspiring composer, who writes Catholic praise and worship music, Catholic Mass parts, and mainstream contemporary music. |
